Europe EC Implements New Harmonized Standards for LVD On July 7, 2016, the European Commission (EC) issued and implemented a list of new harmonized standards. The list of standards shows presumption of conformity to the Directive 2014/35/EU Low Voltage (LVD), which has been effective since April 20, 2016.

The LVD includes a large number of harmonised safety standards. However in most cases only a few of these standards are relevant.
